These are my references to paint and draw. Some of them, as Leonardo and Morón, are my first heroes in painting, others, came in time. Like this first one, Van Gogh...
He is now, maybe my first reference in the use of brush. the way he used the material over canvas makes me want to paint and paint. from him, i can say i found the honesty in painting.
Michelangelo, the italian genius. He made paintings, drawings and sculptures in the renassance. he can only be compared with the other italian: Leonardo
Loli Morón, a lady from my city. She is, as my taste, one of the best painters in the country, and no doubt about it, the best in Patagonia. Her paintings add something unique, she works with petrol, the oil that comes from under our feet.
My favorite from all times: Maestro Leonardo. Since i was very little, i was trying to paint as him. Of course this is so useless and impossible, and so, my self esteem was so low always in art :P i had the honor and pleasure of watching with my own eyes, this first painting, in the Museum of Kraków, thanks to Zuzia because of that =)
Klimt, he also painted in the 1900s, but in Austria, many of his works are in walls of public places of his country. I discoverd the pleasure of painting women with him.
Argentinean history is a stronge source of inspiration for me, in general life and also in painting. i made several drawings and paintings about it. in these photos: San Martín
During my years of study, i ve found these amazing guys: Degas, Tulus Lutrec and Monet. then i understood the presence of color, and how difficult and wonderful is to use them.
Damid Hamilton is a british photographer, he had some problems because his favorite models are teenager girls. he had to move to France to be ablo to make normal exhibitions. Some of his photos are just perfect! many of these, look like neederland paintings, not worse than the best Vermeer or Van Eyk.
My city, Comodoro. We all agree is grey and boring, but i cant do anything else but loving it. its the place where i was born and where i want to end =)
Anathomy, in my teenage years, i made many drawings about human body, muscles and bones, maybe hundreds. i still enjoy watching drawings or photos or human body open, i want to include that in the paintings, i have to think how.
Ana Bagayan. she s an armenian illustrater who can mix in a magical way, the inocence of little girls and shadows of dark forest and swamps. her lines with pencil are just perfect. im still watching her works very carefully, i want to understand how she does to make drawings so charming.
